Frequently asked questions
The short answers. The full rules are in the Terms.
Reviews
- Who writes the critiques? Anyone with a free account. Each account can score each axis of a product once. Reviewers have public usernames and profiles; we don't verify identities or expertise.
- What stops lazy or unfair reviews? The rules: critique the product, not the person; disclose any connection to the founder or a competitor; no trading reviews; no extra accounts. We remove critiques and votes that break them and suspend the accounts involved. Founders can reply to any critique in public. Reviewer rewards only come from critiques other people mark Useful.
- Will you remove a critique because it's negative? No. Negative critiques stay up unless they break the rules.
- Do all scores count the same? No. A score with a written critique of at least 150 characters counts fully. A star rating on its own counts half. If you add a critique later, your score is upgraded to full weight. This makes reasoned scores matter more than drive-by clicks.
- Are scores public? Yes. Scores and public critiques are visible to everyone, no account needed. A reviewer can choose to send a critique privately to the founder instead; its score still counts, but its text is never shown publicly.
- Can I pay to remove a critique or improve my score? No. No payment, including Premium, changes scores or removes critiques.
Listing a product
- What can I list? A product you own or represent, in systems and hardware, dev tools, web platforms or fintech, that a reviewer can use today. You mark it Beta or Shipping. Mockups, waitlists and concept pages are removed.
- What does it cost? The first 25 listings on the site are free. After that, a listing costs $4.99, paid once. Reviewers who reach the Reviewer level earn a free listing credit. Reviewing is always free.
- What's the difference between a free and a paid listing? None. The fee is just the cost of listing once the free spots are gone, and it keeps spam off the board.
- What if nobody reviews my listing? It stays on the board. Share its link (getseenhq.com/p/your-product) to invite reviewers; you can ask people to review, but not for specific scores.
- Can I edit or delete my listing? You can edit everything except the product name, which is its permanent identity on the board. Deleting a listing removes it and all its scores and critiques for good.
- Can my product move from Beta to Shipping? Yes, from Edit Listing. It can't move back. Critiques written during the beta stay labeled as beta-era.
Premium
- What is Premium? An optional subscription for founders: $11.99 a month or $99.99 a year. It covers up to 3 of your products.
- What does it add? A progress chart showing how your scores change over time (public on your listing unless you opt out), re-review rounds that let past reviewers re-score after you ship a fix, a printable scorecard, listing traffic numbers, email alerts when a new product lists in your lane or a review pulls a score down, and up to 10 images, a demo video, extra links and a changelog on your listing.
- What happens if I cancel? Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Your listings stay on the board; only the extras go.
Your account and data
- What's public? Your username, your profile (if you fill it in), your listings, your public critiques and your replies. Your email address is never shown.
- Do you track me or sell my data? No advertising cookies, no third-party analytics, and we don't sell data. One cookie keeps you logged in. Details are in the privacy section of the Terms.
- Will I get sales emails if I list? No. Unlike many launch sites, we don't send marketing or sales emails, and we never sell or share your address. You only get emails about your account and activity on your listings (new critiques, re-review requests, rewards), and alerts can be switched off anytime.
- Who runs GetSeenHQ? NGKsSystems. See About, or email support@ngkssystems.com.
